Knowing when to push the reset button!

Over the last 2 weeks, I have broken almost every piece of advice I have given and posted in this blog.
I have not had meetings with myself over the past 2 weeks because I had too much work to do and I wanted to "push through".
I instructed on a number of things rather than coach because it I just wanted to get it done.
I left a few things to the last minute and did not set my expectation clearly, resulting in a flurry of emails at 9pm at night, not a great nights sleep and putting unfair pressure on others to deliver on now urgent timelines.
I have attended meetings where I had not prepared as much as I should have.
I did a little exercise, however found a number of mornings I was too tired to get up, so decided to miss my morning walk. A crazy decision as my morning walk is where I set my day, clear my thoughts and am at my most focused when planning.
I skipped my usual informed reading source, instead I scanned a few news and internet sites, getting totally distracted and starting my day with a head full of rubbish.
I have broken my commitment to myself of posting at least 1 blog every 2-3 weeks.
I have never professed to be perfect (because no one is!). What I am not going to do is feel bad, guilty, or beat myself up over any of the above. I will reflect, learn and spend a little time this afternoon planning, so that I start my week with clarity.
Getting off track, falling back into old/bad habits when you are crazy busy, will happen to all of us. The world will not fall apart and I actually think its a good thing in a way, as it provides a point of comparison on many levels. How it makes you feel. How it impact's your clarity of thought and the difference it makes in how you interact with others.
The important thing is to be able to recognise when it does happen and know when to push the reset button. Until next time Lisa
